My own path has shaped how I practise, as much as my training has. I've navigated generational trauma, childhood emotional neglect, difficult relationships, and a life-altering cancer diagnosis — experiences that have taught me the value of compassion, creativity, and courage in the face of life's challenges.
I believe what people need most in difficult times isn't judgment or shame, but kindness, presence, and support. Art therapy became a lifeline for me, first as a client, then as a practitioner — and that's the heart of what Creative Butterfly offers.
My memoir, It's Not Always Rainbows & Butterflies: Stories of Becoming, is currently in progress with my editor. For more of my story and reflections along the way, you can follow Creative Care Letters or join the Creative Butterfly Collective for updates from Creative Butterfly.
